How to get to the beach
The community is 1.5 miles to the nearest beach. Here are the ways to take your family to the beach:
1) Ride your bikes to South Bethany Beach. This is a short, flat bike ride. There is no car parking at this beach, so it is always quiet.
2) Drive your family and drop them off, then ride your bike.
3) Pay for metered parking at Bethany Beach. (Bethany no longer issues parking passes).
4) Go to either Fenwick Island State Park (3 miles) or Delaware Seashore State Park.
5) There is a shuttle from OVBC to Bethany Beach on the weekends and holidays.
About the House
The house has four large bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a loft, a den, a balcony, and a patio.
Upstairs:
1) Master Bedroom contains a queen bed and in-suite master bathroom with a double vanity. There is also a 65” plasma tv with Roku player. There is about 6’ on either side of the bed in case you need to set up a pack n play (provided).
2) Bedroom 2: contains a queen bedroom and a balcony with two Adirondack chairs.
3) Bedroom 3: contains two twin beds.
4) Bedroom 4: contains two twin beds and a walk in closet.
5) Loft: The loft has two Euro style sofas which convert to twin xl beds. There is also another 65” flat screen tv with Roku.
6) Hall bathrooms upstairs. There are two hall bathrooms with double vanities and bathtubs.
Downstairs:
7) Living Room: The living area is bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows across the back of the house. There is a fireplace and L-shaped sectional along with an additional chair and 43” flat screen tv with Roku.
8) Dining Table: There is a dining room table with seating for 12. For large groups, there is an additional table at the house.
9) Kitchen: A cook’s dream, the kitchen has an enormous island (approximately 8’x4’) that seats four. Double oven, dishwasher, and electric stove. Service for 12. Children’s cups and plates. A Black and Decker coffee maker with basket filters, an espresso machine, and a refrigerator with water filter and ice cube maker. Cabinets contain child safety locks (they are currently disabled, but can be easily activated).
10. Patio: The patio has an outdoor table with 6 chairs and two Adirondack chairs. The perfect place for your crab feast. There is also a Charbroil gas grill and a Weber charcoal grill, a fire pit and a chiminea. This all overlooks the pond.
11. Den: The den contains a desk and printer. There are also books and games.
12. Downstairs bathroom: There is a 1/2 bath on the main level.
13. Mudroom: to hang your jackets and stuff from the beach.
14. Garage contains beach chairs, boogie boards, fishing rods, Spikeball, pickleball balls and paddles, a hard sit-on-top kayak and a tandem inflatable kayak, 3 life vests, a woman’s small bike, bike helmets, and misc. other beach toys.
15. EV Chargers. There is also a 240 v EV charger, compatible with Teslas and there is an adapter for Chevy Bolts.
Additional policies:
Linens: Please bring your own linens and towels. If required, linens can be purchased at cost.
Cancellations: Bookings cancelled before 60 days will receive a full refund. Bookings cancelled 30-60 days ahead will receive a 50% refund. Bookings cancelled within 30 days will not receive a refund. *If we are able to re-rent the house, we will gladly issue a refund.
Wristbands: To access the community pool/ amenities can be purchased directly from the pool. $38/person/ week. Ages 6 and under are free.
Parking: Please park in the garage and the driveway. We have 4 parking spaces.
Pets: No pets are permitted except on long-term rentals. Please contact the owner to inquire about small, hypoallergenic pets.
Smoking: This is a non-smoking house.
Minimum Age to Rent: 25. No Beach Week. No Events.
EV Fast Charging is available (240v). Adapters provided.
